Event ended raising $2,258.37 for To Write Love on Her Arms
Summary of Event
Substance Use Recovery with Raids of Love was an event raising over $2,200 for To Write Love on Her Arms. The event was centered around helping those suffering from addictions of any kind.
Throughout the event, the Raids of Love community talked about addictions, and the effects that they can have not just on that person, but on the people around them as well. Some community members found that the space was safe enough and shared their own stories about struggling with addictions. Another guest “Zorte On” came in to talk about the struggles they went through with addiction, and how they took the path to recovery, and how they want to help others do the same.

RAIDS OF LOVE HOSTING A WEEK-LONG EVENT TO SPREAD AWARENESS AND PROVIDE A SAFE SPACE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE, OR HAVE STRUGGLED WITH SUBSTANCE USE IN THE PAST: Substance Use Recovery with Raids of Love
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
What is SubSTANCE USE RECOVERY WITH RAIDS OF LOVE?
Substance Use Recovery with Raids of Love is all about helping to provide a safe space for people who are, or have struggled with, substance use. Whether it’s alcohol, or drugs, or a mixture, we want people to know that it’s okay, and we are here for them. Throughout the week, we will be raising money for To Write Love On Her Arms which is a charity that focuses on helping connect people with substance use problems with the proper resources to be able to get the help they need.
How Do Raids of Love Fit In?
The Raids of Love community will be the central force bringing the hype and attention to the event. While neither Kingbullet nor AWRebels have personally struggled with addictions in the past, people who were close to them have, and they have seen first hand the struggles that it can lead to..
Raids of Love partnered up with the charity organization To Write Love On Her Arms during this event to raise money for the charity, and help people in any way they can. Throughout the entire week, we will be discussing addictions, and how it’s effected us, and allowing for anyone who feels like sharing to open up about any struggles they have had as well. There will be resources readily available for anyone who is currently struggling and would like to seek help. If you or anyone you know is struggling with any kind of addiction or substance use, please, reach out and get help. Don’t struggle in silence.
During Raids of Love, Kingbullet, AWRebels, and guest streamers stream to their respective pages after creating a list of creators that should be raided. We then collaborate with our collective viewership and guide them – real people – to various creators’ pages where we encourage them to show love. Raiders share words of encouragement and compliments. Some Raiders also choose to drop gift subscriptions, personal subscriptions, stars (Facebook), bits (Twitch) or a follow. There are no bots, no hate, nor any negativity.
Substance Use Recovery Week
Substance Use Recovery Week will also consist of gaming & music creation. Across 4 different events, Kingbullet and AWRebels will invite fellow creators to “pregame” before the Raids of Love main event with a variety of playfully competitive games. These games include: Fall Guys, Among Us, Jackbox, and others. We are still looking for guest gamers to participate.
During the music creation portions of the event, AWRebels will create a song within 2 hours. The song will include lyrics from the audience, stories for participants, and instruments chosen by the viewers during the stream. This is an experience unlike any other.
At key moments throughout the week, our activities will encourage those able to donate to the To Write Love On Her Arms. Their efforts reflect Kingbullet and AWRebels’ desires to support all communities, especially the community struggling with addictions, in ensuring that everyone can have a voice, and get away from their addictions. Streamers, viewers, gamers, and gaming platforms have a responsibility to each other and Substance Use Recovery with Love Raids will bring attention to this responsibility.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
